Single-component, air-drying, alkyd-based anti-corrosive primer pigmented with red oxide (Fe2O3) for ferrous metal protection and improved adhesion to alkyd/enamel topcoats. Suitable for mild steel fabrication, structures, and general industrial maintenance.

Surface Preparation
Remove oil/grease using suitable solvent or alkaline degreaser; wash/rinse and dry thoroughly.
Remove loose rust, mill scale, and old flaking paint by wire brush / power tool cleaning. Abrasive blasting is preferred for heavy rust.
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust. Minimum cleanliness: St 2 as per ISO 8501-1 (or better).
Apply primer soon after preparation to avoid flash rusting (where applicable).

Brush/Roller
Apply evenly; thin 5–10% with mineral turpentine oil (MTO) / compatible thinner if required to workable viscosity.
Conventional spray
Thin 10–15% with compatible thinner; adjust to sprayable viscosity; strain paint before spraying.
Airless spray
Use suitable tip and pressure per equipment; avoid over-application to prevent sagging; maintain DFT control.
Thinner / Cleaner
MTO / mineral spirit / recommended enamel thinner; ensure compatibility by test patch.
Mixing
Stir thoroughly until homogeneous. Keep container closed when not in use.
Overcoating
Recoat after minimum 8 h (typical). Light sanding/denib improves topcoat appearance.

Surface preparation to St 2 (minimum) and ensure dry/dust-free surface
1 coat Red Oxide Metal Primer — Air-Drying (DFT 35–45 µm)
Flammable: keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame. No smoking.
Use only with adequate ventilation; avoid inhalation of vapours/spray mist.
Avoid skin/eye contact; wear gloves, goggles, and suitable PPE/respirator.
In case of contact, wash with soap and water; seek medical advice if irritation persists.

Packaging & Storage
Standard pack sizes: 1 L, 4 L, 10 L, 20 L and bulk packs (as agreed). Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and ignition sources. Keep container tightly closed.
