Product Description

A high-build, two-component Coal Tar Epoxy coating. This system provides superior protection for steel and concrete surfaces in immersion service, underground burial, and aggressive chemical environments. It combines the low permeability of coal tar with the adhesion and mechanical toughness of epoxy resin.

System Build Recommendation

For optimum corrosion protection in underground burial or marine immersion:

  • Prep: Abrasive blast clean to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1). Roughness: 75-100 μm.
  • Coat 1: Coal Tar Epoxy (Brown) @ 200 μm DFT.
  • Coat 2: Coal Tar Epoxy (Black) @ 200 μm DFT.
  • Total: 400 μm DFT. Test for holidays using High Voltage Spark Tester (2,000V).

Application & Safety

Equipment: Airless Spray is recommended. Tip range: 0.021" - 0.027". Pressure: 2500 psi.

Recoat Window: Min 12h, Max 24h @ 30°C. If maximum is exceeded, sweep blast the surface to ensure intercoat adhesion.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry area. Shelf life: 12 months for Base, 6 months for Hardener.
