Placement: After successful training, candidates will be placed in suitable positions based on performance and company requirements.
Role Summary
Management Trainees (Technical) will be trained to develop practical and professional competence in paint manufacturing operations, laboratory quality control, raw material evaluation, formulation support, production systems, and field-level technical service. The role is meant for candidates who are willing to build a long-term career in the surface coatings and paint industry.
Major Areas of Training and Work
Production
Assist in paint batch making, process monitoring, SOP follow-up, mixing, grinding, let-down, filtration, and packing supervision.
Laboratory
Carry out testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products using standard QC methods.
Technical Service
Support troubleshooting, customer complaint analysis, application trials, and technical reporting at client sites.
Techno-Commercial Exposure
Understand product performance, market requirements, client communication, and practical field challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in production activities of decorative, industrial, and specialty paint systems.
- Monitor key process parameters such as viscosity, pH, density, grinding fineness, drying time, and shade consistency.
- Participate in laboratory evaluation of pigments, binders, extenders, additives, and solvents.
- Support formulation trials for new product development, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
- Maintain production, QC, and trial records accurately.
- Work under guidance in identifying and solving common paint defects such as settling, foaming, poor adhesion, low hiding, and gloss variation.
- Attend client sites for application study, troubleshooting, validation, and technical follow-up.
- Prepare technical observations, test summaries, and field visit reports.
- Support coordination between production, QC, administration, and technical teams.
- Follow safety, discipline, and quality compliance standards throughout the training period.
Travel and Work Location
During training, techno-commercial trainees may be required to visit various client sites across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. This provides real-time industrial exposure and practical understanding of customer requirements, product applications, and field problems.
Candidates selected for technical functions should be willing to work both in manufacturing units and at external sites whenever required.
Desired Candidate Profile
- B.Sc / M.Sc Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or related science background.
- Diploma / Degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field may also be considered.
- Basic understanding of chemistry, industrial materials, and manufacturing systems.
- Strong observation, discipline, and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and readiness for field travel.
- Interest in paint technology, raw materials, quality systems, and industrial problem-solving.
